Day 5 Nancy to Luxembourg by Tony and Al aka the AA team

The day started as well as it could have done, with Dave C praying to
every God under the sun for no hiccups and a smooth ride.

So off the intrepid bikers went; Gordons arse pain factor was 4/10
at the beginning off the day, reaching a 6 at the end - mainly due to
the road conditions - with nearly all of the roads in the two city
centres being either cobbled, or having more bumps than a teenagers
face, this wasn't going to be a smooth day.

The AA team winged their way to Decathlon to get some essential
equipment for the bikes, such as inner tubes, helmets and essentially
BRAKES, without which our trip through the Belgian Ardennes the next
day would be impossible or highly unadvisable!

Once we had made our way through the very busy and badly planned streets
of Metz, which took toll on both Sam and Andy's legs, bums and bikes,
the riders were greeted with a hot lunch of Pizza for the Aces and
Croque Monsieurs and Pommes Frites (chips) for the Laggards.

Onwards and upwards out of beautiful France and into Luxembourg.

Think a mini Paris, but smaller, less friendly and very unwelcoming - and
full of Police who have too much time on their hands. After a hard days'
riding, we headed out for something to eat but everywhere seemed to be closed.

Alltogether, Luxembourg can be summed up as a good shortcut between
France and Belgium. Unless you have to stop there, it is NOT worth a
visit!
